I Heart Characters Week 2!

“I Heart Characters! is a weekly meme hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer to showcase our book blogger love for characters! Each week she’ll supply a topic and you’ll supply the character. Post on whatever day suits you, about characters from whatever media you love (books, movies, K-dramas, television, manga, anime, webtoons, whatever!) and link up on Thursday so YOU and others can blog hop and share the character love. ♡”

This is the second week of I HEART Characters and the topic is Fae Love Interest. I absolutely loved this topic! I just got finished reading this series so it was the first to come to mind and since I was already swooning I thought why not write it down!

The Series: The Iron Fey

The Character: Ash (Ashallayn’ darkmyr Tallyn)

WARNING: From this point forward there are spoilers!

His Story:

Ash is the last remaining son of Queen Mab of the Unseelie Court. He is the winter prince and after the love of his life died in a horrible accident he made a vow to never love again. That was until Meghan Chase entered his life. The problem? She is half human (weak) and the other half? She is a princess of the Summer Court, Ash’s enemy. He was sent to kill her and when he couldn’t he was shunned from the only life he knew.

Why I chose him:

First of all, the way he is described…. Tall, Dark, Handsome, Fit, brooding…

Back to the topic on hand, and more importantly (kind of) is what he does for Meghan. He grew up his whole life with the belief “Humans are weak” and “The Summer Court is the enemy” and she is both. It took some time, but he got passed both and vowed to protect her (as her knight) forever and when an unfortunate circumstance (read COMPLETE DISASTER) occurred Meghan forced him out of her life to protect him.

Instead of going on his way and learning to live with it he vowed to spend the rest of his life searching for a way they could be together. He literally goes to the end of the world to find a way to her even if he has to gain a soul in the process.

Unrealistically attractive. Willing to give his life for his love. Knight in shining armor.

Ash is the true “book character” package.
