Top 5 Wednesday: Bromances!
It’s Top 5 Wednesday People! This month on Top 5 Wednesday, we are able to pick our topics from previous options because Sam over at Thoughts on Tomes has been a busy beaver finishing up grad school. So this is what I have for this week.
And the date was August 30th, 2017…
Favorite Bromances!
Now I’m going to skip over the obvious option: Harry and Ron from Harry Potter
This is the first one that comes to my mind and it just seems too easy.
- Jem Carstairs and Will Heronale from The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
Jem and Will are Parabatai which means they are lifelong partners, bound together by oath. This means they are sworn to protect and stay with each other forever. If one of them gets hurt or dies the other one is affected too. This is the closest and most connected friendship I’ve ever read about. Plus…😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
- Puck (Robin Goodfellow) and Ash (Ashallyn’ darkmyr Tallyn) from The Iron Fey Series by Jule Kagawa
Ok this “friendship” originally started out as a rivalry. They were supposed to kill each other but it never happened. Neither one will admit they are friends at the beginning put when you read their interactions and follow them throughout the whole series, you quickly realize how close they truly are.
- Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World
This friendship is very traditional. They’ve been friends since they were kids and it continued through high school and college. Of course, they had some rough moments but don’t all friendships?
- Ted and Marshall from How I Met Your Mother
These two are like brothers. I love how close they are and even when Lily enters Marshal’s life, Lily is almost the 3rd wheel instead of Ted.
- Woody and Buzz from Toy Story
I shouldn’t have to explain this one. I mean “You’ve got a friend in me” was written just for them!

Oh, I loooove Will and Jem. Even with the love triangle, I never truly found myself rooting for one over the other because I adored them both so much.

So true! For me whenever she was with one of them I was rooting for that one and then she’d do something with the other and then my opinion would change all over again lol

Hahahaha. Yes. Exactly!

Corey and Shawn was my first favorite bromance ever! And I got so much nostalgia feels when I saw Buzz and Woody. Nice list!
Anna
Corey and Shawn are my favorite too. They were more brothers than bromance most of the time. Now I want to binge watch BMW lol.
Justine
I say go for it loll

Ahh amazing picks! Heronstairs is the best bromance to ever existed, there’s nothing can beat them! I forgot how much I miss the Iron Fey series until I read Ash and Puck, I love their interactions!
Anna
I love Ash and Puck! Their reaction is so funny since they originally were supposed to kill each other.
