I’m back with another tag! The wonderful Sahi over at My World of Books tagged me in The Soul Ripping Romance Tag. You should definitely check out her blog!!
- Thank the person who tagged you and create a pingback to the original author – Nel @ Reactionary Tales.
- Share at least 5 (but more are welcome) romances that tugged your heart strings. They can be from books, movies, TV shows, manga; anything you can think of! They can be examples of sad tears, angry tears, happy tears or a combination of all three.
- Nominate 5 (or more) people to share their emotional traumas.
So I was sitting here, trying to come up with ideas and for as many books/movies/tv shows I’ve read/watched throughout my life you would think I would have a list of more than 5. At least more than 5 with different book authors or different movie genres. Nope. I sat down and my mind went completely blank. Even staring at my bookshelf and Goodreads lists didn’t help. So here are my Soul Ripping Romances that I could come up with while my mind went to moosh:
Ellie and Carl (Disney’s UP)
If you tell me you didn’t tear up while watching this movie I will assume you have no soul. Ok, not true but Ellie and Carl managed to make me believe in forever love in a matter of 5 minutes. Their relationship is so sweat and it’s the kind of relationship meant to last forever.
Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars)
Ok. Who cried like a baby while watching this movie or reading the book? Come on let me see your hands… Because I totally ugly cried in the theater when I watched the movie and my husband thought something was seriously wrong when I read the book. In spite of what each of them were going through they still took every moment of their relationship to enjoy the little things and really get to know each other. Their love grabbed me by the heart and didn’t let go.
Alex and Aiden (The Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout)
She’s a half blood and he’s a full blood. Forbidden from any kind of romance. Did that stop them? Nope! This was a great forbidden love story and I found myself fighting for them to end up together. They were the perfect couple. Do they end up together? You’ll have to read it to find out because I won’t spoil the story.
Queenie Goldstein and Jacob Kowalski (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them)
I absolutely LOVE their story. These two are so cute together! I love that Queenie can read minds and Jacob definitely thinks Queenie is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen.
Katy and Daemon (Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout)
People!! This is BIG! Let’s take a second to marvel at what I just discovered ok? I’ve commented on several blog posts and actually made 2 blog posts recently where I’ve mentioned the reason why I started blogging was because of a book. Could I remember the books name? The characters name? Nope! Until right now. Today. While writing this post! Katy! Katy is the reason why I started blogging people!
Katy and Daemon’s story starts out very shaky. He’s an ass. She’s just asking for directions. Now I wasn’t sure at the beginning because he is very rude, condescending and full of himself and I’ve been in/seen relationships like this. They never turn out well. However, he does this to protect her and to save her from what he is. Their relationship evolves and after a while I needed them to be together! Find their story here.
Allie and Zeke (Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa)
Allie and Zeke live in a world where Vampires rule and humans hate them. Well Allie gets into a sticky situation and has to become a vampire. She hides this from Zeke and when the truth outs, their relationship takes a turn for the worse. This is the ultimate story of finding the good in someone despite what they have done or what they are. Do they end up together? If they do, what does that mean for their relationship? Read the book to find out!
