“I Heart Characters! is a weekly meme hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer to showcase our book blogger love for characters! Each week she’ll supply a topic and you’ll supply the character. Post on whatever day suits you, about characters from whatever media you love (books, movies, K-dramas, television, manga, anime, webtoons, whatever!) and link up on Thursday so YOU and others can blog hop and share the character love. ♡”
Happy Thursday everyone! I’m so sorry I’ve been absent for (what feels like) forever! Who would have thought going self-hosted would be so difficult?! Not I. But I’m back! And I’m extremely happy to say I’ve gone self-hosted and I’m excited for this next step in my blogging journey.
It felt like the perfect day to come back since it’s my favorite post of the week, I Heart Characters! Dani has set the June schedule which you can find here if you’re interested in joining in on the fun (which you definitely should!!).
For the first week of June, the topic is Wicked Witch (Literally a witch, or one who simply acts like one… a fantasy villain or a contemporary bully… if she’s b*tchy then she’s part of the group!)
When I first started this 7 weeks ago (WHAT?!?!?!) I told myself I would never put a Harry Potter character. Why? Well because you can find a HP character that fits almost everything and I’m not one to take an easy way out. Whelp, I broke my #1 rule! There is only one person I can think of that fits this topic so well. Now she may not fit the typical “witch” stigma (big nose, moles, black teeth) she sure has the soul to match.
Can we all agree we hated her more than Voldemort?
She is the epitome of a Witch! She made Harry write lines as it cut through his hand.
She was willing to use the Cruciatus Curse on children to get answers.
Plus, she aligned herself with this crazy man when he didn’t believe Voldemort was back. I mean ALL the signs pointed to him, how could they not see it?!
I’ve never read a book, watched a movie or seen a TV show whose character I’ve hated more than this woman. I nearly threw the book across the room several times because I couldn’t believe what she did or what came out of her mouth.
