“I Don’t Like Bullies. I Don’t Care Where They’re From.” – Steve Rogers

I’m sure after all this time everyone thinks my favorite Marvel Character is Thor since that’s the only character I’ve talked about from that universe for these I Heart Character weeks. However, my all time favorite Marvel Character is Captain America.

I absolutely love history and although it’s very depressing I really enjoy reading and learning about World War II. Well, the first Captain America movie takes place directly in the middle of the war.

He’s a scrawny kid from Brooklyn who is only trying to do the right thing and stand up to bullies. He wants to make a difference and participates in a crazy experiment to help with the war effort. Things take a turn and he’s forced to be a “poster child” instead of a soldier.

When he realizes his best friend is in trouble he goes against orders and helps rescue a whole group from the evil Red Skull.

To me Cap is a true “superhero” because he was willing to fight for what was right before he was given super strength/speed. And he does it all on his American Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

I also won’t deny, he’s pretty nice to look at…

“I Heart Characters! is a weekly meme hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer to showcase our book blogger love for characters! Each week she’ll supply a topic and you’ll supply the character. Post on whatever day suits you, about characters from whatever media you love (books, movies, K-dramas, television, manga, anime, webtoons, whatever!) and link up on Thursday so YOU and others can blog hop and share the character love. ♡”
